The 701st (PHILCCOM) Signal Battalion is a sub group of the
Philippine Civil Communications Inc. that is an Affiliated Reserve Unit of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. 
The National Chairman of the group Jose "Joey" Talens and Col Franco P. Francisco (GSC) Commander AFPRESCOM entered into a Memorandum of Agreement that makes the Philippine Civil Communications Inc. a Reserve Unit of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. This Memorandum of Agreement was also approved by the AFP Chief of Staff, Secretary of National Defense and the Office of the President of the Philippines assigning PHILCCOM AFP Affiliated Reserve Unit as the 701st Signal Battalion of the AFP through RA 7077 program.
